In May 2015, a Brazilian couple from the Bahia and Minas Gerais states of Brazil opened Batuqui, The Flavor of Brasíl and established Cleveland's favorite Brazilian restaurant in the Larchmere district, near Shaker Square. Chefs Carla and Gustavo offer the highest quality and most authentic cuisine from their homelands in a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in their country, on the beach or in the beautiful countryside. In June 2021, they opened their second location in the heart of Chagrin Falls, offering the same delicious Brazilian food locals have come to love in another beautifully restored Victorian home. They both invite you to come to either location and enjoy an authentic experience and taste the real flavors of Brazil!
